
ABOUT HINDI LANGUAGE
Hindi is an Indo-Aryan language with about 487 million speakers. It is one of the official languages of India and is used as the language of administration, the media, education and literature in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Elsewhere in India, Hindi is used, along side English, as a second language.
Hindi is also spoken in Bangladesh, Belize, Botswana, Canada, Germany, Guyana, Kenya, Nepal, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Suriname, Trinidad, Uganda, UAE, UK, USA, Yemen, Zambia. Hindi is closely related to Urdu, the main language of Pakistan, which is written with the Arabic script.
Hindi first started to be used in writing during the 4th century AD. It was originally written with the Brahmi script but since the 11th century AD it has been written with the Devangari alphabet. The first printed book in Hindi was John Gilchrist's Grammar of the Hindustani Language which was published in 1796.
INTRODUCTIONHindi Gyan Vikas Pathshala (HGVP) Program is designed to help beginners to quickly familiarize themselves with the Hindi Language vowels, consonents and simple words. The kids are expected to be able to read and write fluently simple words paragraphs before they move to the advance level.
The Students will be expected to be able to fully and fluently Read and Write Hindi and develop understanding of the language at the end of the Advanced Hindi course.
This site is developed to provide students of Hindi Gyan Vikas Pathshala with information on the Hindi Language Teaching, Learning schedules and other informations.
COURSE OUTLINE
During the teaching session the lessons will cover the listed topics for the Beginnners and Advanced Classes. Tests will be scheduled after the completion of each topic. Material will be provide to the sudents. The students are expected to be current with their home work and class work.
